1. Creating an account
- Open Sign in → Register (or the Profile page → Create account).
- Enter your name, email and a password, then submit.
- Depending on site settings you may need to activate the account via a link emailed to you — follow the instructions on the activation page.
An account unlocks commenting, charchapatra, reactions, saving articles and game scores.
2. Signing in
- Enter your email and password on the Sign in page. Each box carries its own name, so a screen reader announces Email and Password as you move between them.
- If social login is enabled, use one of the named buttons instead — Continue with Google, Continue with LinkedIn or Continue with Facebook. The site takes you through that provider's consent screen and returns you signed in.
- Everything on this page can be completed with the keyboard alone:
Tabmoves between the boxes and buttons, andEntersubmits. - After signing in you stay signed in across the site; use Sign out from your account menu to end the session.
3. Forgot your password?
- On the sign-in page choose Forgot password.
- Enter your email and submit — a reset link is emailed to you.
- Open the link and set a new password on the reset page, then sign in with it.
4. Changing your password
Once signed in, go to Profile → Security, enter your current password plus the new one, and save. You'll be signed out and need to sign in again with the new password.
5. Account activation
If your account is created but not yet active, the site shows an activation flow — check your inbox for the activation link. If it expired, request a fresh activation link from the sign-in page.
Troubleshooting
- Reset link not arriving — check spam/junk and that you entered the email used at registration.
- Social login fails — retry, or sign in with email/password instead; contact the site admin if it persists.
- Wrong password — use the forgot-password flow to reset it.
- Signed in, but the header still shows "Sign in" and your photo is missing — reload the page once. An earlier version could replay a signed-out answer from a previous visit; the current version always asks afresh each time the page loads, so a single reload fixes it.
